What Are The Laws Of Quran | Explanation Of The Holy Quran

foundation of islam

A very first step towards God because at this point you are submitting your ego, your race, your tribe, your nationality, your class and your family under God's system and guidance. Nothing is above or more important than God.

A Muslim's primary identity is by his religion, not by his race or ethnicity or tribe and neither by the culture resulted from such. When Muslim makes the latter primary it creates division and divisiveness in the mind which is an erosion and potential disuniting factor of the Ummah. We see this in the hadith where Prophet forbade such secular identity:

We were in the company of the Prophet (ﷺ) in a expedition. A large number of emigrants joined him and among the emigrants there was a person who used to play jokes (or play with spears); so he (jokingly) stroked an Ansari man on the hip. The Ans-ari got so angry that both of them called their people. The Ansari said, "Help, O Ansar!" And the emigrant said "Help, O emigrants!" The Prophet (ﷺ) came out and said, "What is wrong with the people (as they are calling) this call of the period of Ignorance? "Then he said, "What is the matter with them?" So he was told about the stroke of the emigrant to the Ansari. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Stop this (i.e. appeal for help) for it is an evil call”...(Bukhari)

We see the Sahabas from Muhajir and Ansar group turned to nationalism and tribalism in the presence of the Prophet. The prophet came to Medina and made a brotherhood among them but these Sahabas from both groups forgot it. This nationalism based on ethnic/racial/tribal identity has been destroying the ummah since the passing away of the Prophet and today Muslim geopolitics has been based and exploited by westerners based on this Muslim division. So a Muslim must minimally participate and make us of his racial/ethnic/tribal identity rather maximize the participation and use of his Islamic identity that is based on the laws and values of Quran, Sunnah and the pious ancestors.

 Quran 2:30

And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."

Commentary of Quran 2:30

Before we talk on our existence on earth, we need to discuss the beginning. This began with the will of God to create vicegerent on earth. Before us the Djinns dominated earth, possibly ruling in the times of Dinosaurs. It only makes sense because Djinns are powerful beings who sustain on bones among other things. These powerful creatures could have been hunting these giant creatures of Dinosaur times. Then came the era of man. Man, by nature is political and hence he does not like anarchy. History has been the collective activities of politics. This is due to the fact that man as Khalifa of God on earth needed to be political to represent His authority and dominion against the authority and dominion of the devil Djinns. Politics is organization, management and dispensation of justice. In another perspective politics is control over men and exercising policies. God has sent laws through prophets throughout history just so that a) man can connect with God b) man can live with justice and peace through God. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) mission was no different. Islam as being the message and legislation of God is also thus political. Due to this reason all scholars of Islam are unanimous of the necessity of Imamate (political leadership) for Muslims. Muslims thus are required collectively to pursue a religio-political construct for their existence through Sharia Law. The minority or non-Muslims are obliged to obey non-faith-based Islamic laws as well. An Islamic existence is beneficial for all aspects of human existence because Islam creates the context for best security, morality and prosperity.

Quran 51:56

And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. (FBL)

Commentary of Quran 51:56

The purpose of human and Djinn existence is to worship God. God has created us, so we know Him, thank Him and serve Him for His bounties and for our own individual and collective benefits and good. Human being initiates self-destruct mode as soon as he deviates from God and depending on the degree of this deviation such self-destruction manifests. The foundations of divine servitude are loyalty, devotion, patience, sincerity, love, jihad and obedience which atheists have no idea about, because the atheists say our purpose in life is from moment to moment, from day to day. Their purpose is fleeting and temporary while as the purpose of God, for God and in God is eternally rewarded and permanent. Further reading www.researchgate.net/publication/347841054_The_Gifts_of_Secularism

Quran 3:19

Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah, then indeed, Allah is swift in [taking] account. (FBL)

Commentary of Quran 3:19

Once God has created us for His worship, it is then only reasonable that He teaches us how to worship and this guidance comes in the form of a religion called Islam, or religion of submission and servitude. So, the religion which is only acceptable to God is Islam. God creates a unique identity, identity of faith connected with the heaven. God given identity and existence thus transcends and reshape anything rooted in race, ethnicity, tribe or nationality. God will color you with the Divine. Islam gives its adherents an identity and honor based on this unique humanity, justice, morals and spirituality.

Why Islam has not succeeded and triumphed over western philosophies and systems? Islam has the potential to raise Muslims to be the best and most successful nation of faith excelling in all metrics of success spiritual legal moral political social cultural economic financial personal psychological. The success is designed to bring about the most fulfilling satisfaction of the heart, mind and body. However Islam is a tool and a tools use is as much as the ability and expertise of its user. Muslims are the users and they have failed to use Islam properly because some do not believe in all of it, some do not understand it correctly and some fail to implement it completely and correctly. This is however different for western philosophies and people. They completely believe their worldview, they completely understand their ways as a consequence of their genetic inheritance and solidified upbringing and they have committed worst crimes in history to completely and correctly implement their worldview and systems spilling over beyond their existence resulting in a more or less westernized world. The inner circle which is the most concentrated area of this westernized world is western Europe and the Americas and some Eastern white countries namely New Zealand and Australia.

This ineffective and inefficient use of Islam will end and it will be used, adhered to and lived by as it is supposed to be by the advent of Imam Mahdi. He will initiate an era of Islamic rule and Islamic existence which will make Islam the dominant system and philosophy of the world and will make it successful as it is supposed to be successful. Quranic and Hadith texts promise of such as world and of Islam's victory. If you do not believe in promises and prophecies of Islam then at least believe in dialectical materialism which essentially proposes changes of status quo to new models of social organizations underlying which are ideas and philosophies.

A question arises that is, can we make Islam successful before the advent of Imam Mahdi? Not to the extent he will because he will be helped by Divine intervention much similar to Prophets such as Noah, Moses, Abraham and Mohammad PBUTH. What we can do is strive towards that perfection of Islamic success until Imam Mahdi comes and completes it. One major pillar we cannot complete is complete defeat of global tyranny even though we may prepare through God and Jihad a defense which will impede complete victory of global tyranny against Islamic adherents and Jihad. A practical example has been the Taliban, and the Islamic republic of Iran whose determined Jihad has defended it from all western attacks starting with Saddam. So if we sit idle with the excuse of Imam Mahdi then we will be held accountable for our inaction. Through our Jihad we can reap benefits of Islam even though not the extent Imam Mahdi will achieve.

Quran 2:213

Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed. And none differed over the Scripture except those who were given it - after the clear proofs came to them - out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allah guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.

Commentary of Quran 2:213

In the beginning mankind was one community united and following one religion Islam. Racial, nationalist, tribal rivalry and pride did not exist, but their hatred, jealousy, greed had created new religions away from God. There is thus only one God and one religion but throughout human history men have deviated from Him and His religion and reduced His identity and the form of His religion by their own reducing qualifications. You will notice all these qualifications are lesser and inferior than what Quran has qualified God and His religion as. This moral and ethical disagreements have caused and continue to cause suffering and injustice. Therefore, God must exist to reveal a set of guidance to them, emanating from outside them- a third party, by which their collective existence can maintain peace, balance and justice in the best norm. Muslims believe this guidance had been given since the start of humanity on earth as this verse establishes.

Quran 1:2-5

It is You we worship and You we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path. The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray (FBL)

Commentary of Quran 1:2-5

It is obligatory to worship Him as He has commanded us to say this. Worship is total submission to God. It is maximum servitude in our total existence. Worship is not only personal but also collective. It is obedience to God’s commands with love and inclination. Worship is never lip service or habitual actions or only rituals.

As we worship Him so from Him, we must ask all help and assistance whether such help is beyond or with in our power to accomplish. For God’s dominion is in every sphere of human action and existence so even a work which is with in our power, by God’s assistance it will be done with a greater perfection with a better result according to God’s decision, will.

The path of the favored upon is the path of the Prophets: Monotheism and worship of One True God. This favor is not only spiritual rewards for hereafter but also favors in form of personal, psychological, moral and material gains whether individual or collective in this world. The intensity and extent of favors depend on how we Muslims follow His guidance, that is the scope, breadth and efficiency of our obedience and adherence to God’s commands. Islam will only work when it’s followers are devoted and determined. Consider the Muslims as a human capital for Islam- the ideology. Any theory's, policy's or system's realization of maximum potential of its applicability, workability and efficacy depend on the devotion and skill set of the followers and human capital serving it. There are many democracies in world for example, but some are miserable and some in a better condition. This goes back to the practitioners and the human capital. Islam's practical success and efficacy also depend on the nature and quality of Muslim people and non-Muslim people under its jurisdiction. We have to make Islam work.

These are those people who rejected God or twisted His revelations by their own hands and changed it to suit their sentiments and impulses. The consequence of detaching from God is initiate a self-destruct mode. The misguided people may not realize the means they are on are dangerous and harmful, but their means are surely taking them to self-destruction and as their means become widespread humanity also shares their destiny. Some of the means that godlessness and detachment from Quran have caused are self-indulgent pleasure and joy, individualism, self-centeredness, self-admiration, self-importance, sexual openness and profit at any cost. These have a synergistic effect towards facilitation and creation of wars, global warming, depleting resources, catastrophe for future generations and global human apathy. Likewise, God’s ways when followed will have a synergistic effect towards good and prosperity of human mind and human condition which will preserve and enhance collective humanity and God’s earth. Quran 4:59

O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. (NFBL)

Commentary of Quran 4:59

The Sunnis define the authority to be men whether good or bad, but Shias define the authority to be the twelve imams who are the successors of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This verse also establishes the political doctrine of Islam and that Islam is a political religion. The political authority in Islam is based on God, His prophet and the twelve imams. Muslims are under them directly or represent them. Today Islamic republic of Iran is representing the Ahl Bayt through the doctrine of Wilayat Faqeh as established by the great Imam Khomeini.

Quran 6:162

Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds”. (FBL)

Commentary of Quran 6:162

This verse obligates that the believers hold Islam in the highest esteem and the topmost priority in their lives. A Muslim life means a life defined by Islam, in every capacity of their life. Islam is not something partial to social life and followed occasionally as social formalities. This verse also rejects ritualist approach to Islam which is the case of most secularist politicians and misguided Muslims. These politicians and Muslims have reduced Islam to few rituals and ceremonies.

Quran 9:24

Say, [O Muhammad], "If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your relatives, wealth which you have obtained, commerce wherein you fear decline, and dwellings with which you are pleased are more beloved to you than Allah and His Messenger and jihad in His cause, then wait until Allah executes His command. And Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people." (FBL)

Commentary of Quran 9:24
God reminds us in another way that He and His prophet must be the most important and beloved things in this world for believer. No family, race, country, tribe, class or material can come before God and Prophet. What this means is values emanating from God and Prophet are supreme and precede values emanating from the latter. Today Muslims have dualistic values: one emanating from their racist, nationalist, tribal conscience etc. and other from ritualistic Islam. This is a contradiction and thus a disaster. There is no preference among people in Islam except by righteousness and merit. Muslims must wash themselves with Islamic guidance and abandon all these secular constructs of race, nationalism, tribe, aristocracy, elitism etc. This verse also commands us to persevere through patient Jihad, any hardship we will face, when following our religion. In today’s world, one of these hardships is trade sacrifices against Islam’s enemies either to harm them or to respect Muslim suffering as a gesture of honor and empathy. Many Muslim countries fail to abandon or put pressure on the persecutors of Islam for fear of some financial losses. Jihad brings financial losses necessarily and God is commanding in this verse nothing can be more important than God and His prophet yet still our so-called Muslim governments prefer finances and economy over Islamic empowerment, Islamic honor and Muslim diaspora. To what extent should we suffer such losses need to be determined, but know this, in Jihad against enemy there will be losses of finances and economy as well as lives. New struggle will always create new opportunities to shine. As to the issue of suffering let us ask that what is the meaning of Quran 2:286, 24:61. Lot of Muslim liberal governments give excuse that God does not burden us beyond our capacity and ability. By this excuse they abandon all efforts towards political Islam and thereby Islamic revival. God does not burden us beyond our ability and capacity- true. These two are rooted in our mental and physical capacities. All other conceptual models of capacity and ability such as economic, military political etc. come down to this mental and physical ability and capacity. Ability is the skills and knowledge required to do something whereas capacity is the maximum productivity of mind and body beyond which we break down mentally and/or physically. This is the limit that Quran 2:286, 24:61 talks of and not the hardship that the liberals will get if they work for Islam. Jihad is a hard work, but it is not always beyond ability and capacity. Even in battle of Badr the fight was militarily impossible to win but mentally and physically Muslims were able and capable, determined. In today’s age our ability needs to be earned and our capacity needs to be expanded, and towards this end we must give our maximum effort for Islamic revival. We must not be scared for the hardships of enemies sanctions and trade losses. There will be always be new opportunities and bounties blessed upon us by God if we make the real struggle. This is a promise of God.

Quran 33:21

There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent model for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah often. (FBL)

Commentary of Quran 33:21

This verse makes the Prophet of Islam an example to follow and a model to be implemented in our personal lives, political, legal, social, cultural, economic, financial, military and spiritual existence as well. Prophet acted as a saint, a father, a husband, a human being, a prophet, a leader, a judge, a military general, a spy master, a politician and activist. All these are instructional models for Muslims and the world.

Quran 16:44

And We revealed to you the message that you may explain to the people what was sent down to them and that they might give thought.

Commentary of Quran 16:44

God's commands can be both rational and irrational but never void of wisdom. God prohibiting polytheism, alcohol, murder, or obligating patriarchy over matriarchy, Jihad etc. are rational commands. However, God's command to all angels to prostrate to Adam, or God's command to sacrifice Ishmael etc. were irrational commands but all these commands have a wisdom behind it. Sometimes this wisdom is rational and sometimes to achieve a greater long-term purpose. For example, the irrational commands mentioned here were to test His servants' loyalty and devotion and establish God's honor and absolute authority. There may be purpose that we still do not know as God states in Quran 2:30 "Indeed I know which you do not know". So, to arrogantly deny God's commands just because our feeble human minds cannot grasp it is arrogance and stupidity. This verse also establishes the authority of Prophetic explanation of Quran. This is the Sunnah found in Hadith literature. Misguided colonial Muslims want to discard Hadith because it enriches Islam and makes it precise and defined and leave little room for their whimsical interpretation of the Quran. Without Hadith there would be no Islamic law and we would be cut off from Quran as our understanding of it would be partial and misguided.

Quran 2:4

And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]

Commentary of Quran 2:4

Belief in God’s revealed books is not merely ascertaining it’s source as God but also belief that it needs to be lived by and acted upon. Without this role, the Divine books become mundane useless.

Quran 25:1

Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a warner –

Commentary of Quran 25:1

Quran is a book of judgement, a book of standard and criterion, by which judgment is made. A Muslim's life is maintained and balanced by understanding judgement through Quran. If Muslims fail to be discerning by Quran, they will easily fall prey to misguidance. Now most world is living under western values which mostly contradict Quran, so people rarely use judgement because everywhere its same westernized values, but their judgement meter shoots up when they face with an Islamic practice such as hijab, gender division, child marriage, circumcision, jihad, political Islam etc.

Quran 49:14

The bedouins say, "We have believed." Say, "You have not [yet] believed; but say [instead], 'We have submitted,' for faith has not yet entered your hearts. And if you obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not deprive you from your deeds of anything. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."

Commentary of Quran 49:14

Here God distinguishes between faith and being Muslim. The believer is one who truly and sincerely believes in God and all the articles of faith and this belief makes him or her act accordingly thus making him also Muslim. A Muslim is one who just submits to the actions of Islam without faith. However, usage has made Muslim and believer same. So, A true believer is a true Muslims and vice versa. It is fair to say that most of the rulers ruling demography of Islam are just Muslim in the sense of this verse, without real faith of Islam in them. They just act Islamic in some respects out of formality because of show and that they are silent on Islamic revival and Jihad for Muslim diaspora.

Quran 40:14

So invoke Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, although the disbelievers dislike it. (FBL)

Commentary of Quran 40:14

You have to invoke God by making the religion sincere for Him. This is both personal and collective achievement. Personally you cannot continue in haram beliefs and acts while invoking God so you must not live a double life, one during prayer and one when outside prayer. In political side the Muslim leaders too must not live a double life. Their policies must be Islamic just like their prayer. They must establish Islamic rule, laws and protocols and then their Islam will be sincere when praying. They must not care what America or China thinks. They must also not give excuse of nonexistence fatal consequences. Muslim countries today are sovereign under an international somewhat equitable system of laws unlike Muslims of Mecca who were persecuted and of Medina in early period of Islamic statehood, but even then, Prophet didn't succumb Islamic state to pagan superiority and dominance by exposing the state of Medina and it’s economy, finance and resources for the exploitation of Pagans. Muslims of Medina created their own independent economy and political establishment.

Quran 57:25

We have already sent Our messengers with clear evidences and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that the people may maintain [their affairs] in justice. And We sent down iron, wherein is great military might and benefits for the people, and so that Allah may make evident those who support Him and His messengers unseen. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.

Commentary of Quran 57:25

This verse again establishes the necessity and obligation of humanity to live and judge by God's revealed laws. There is no place for secularism. God has revealed Quran, it's explanations the Sunnah, so that mankind can establish justice and equity. God also makes it clear that the resources He has given in earth and on it is for believers to make use of it for Islamic revival and Jihad. Iron is one of those used heavily in the military industry and God hints us as to how we the Muslims will use these resources for military purpose in Jihad.
